Privacy policy.

This policy explains how The Founding Company, based in Hyderabad, India, handles information through thefounding.co, including Assembly applications, contact and inquiry forms, the site chat, and related program and founder services.

For privacy questions or requests, email hello@thefounding.co. Please identify the email address or submission involved so we can locate it and verify your request.

Applications may include your name, email, phone number, professional background, company and co-founder details, product links, written answers, profile photo, startup logo, and an optional pitch recording. If you send an inquiry, we collect the details you enter, such as your organization, topic and message.

When you use Ask Foundy, we receive your messages and the assistant's replies, along with a visitor or session identifier and the page where the chat started. Please keep confidential company information and sensitive personal details out of chat.

The website and its service providers may process information such as device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, referrer, and request or security logs. Forms may include your browser user agent and source page to help us route and protect submissions.

The site uses browser storage and, where necessary, cookies or similar technology for sign-in, saved application progress, chat continuity, and other features you choose to use. Your browser settings can clear stored data, but doing so may interrupt a saved session or draft.

We use submissions to operate the website and programs, review applications, coordinate interviews and founder participation, answer questions, respond to press or partnership inquiries, send operational email, and protect the service from misuse. We may use aggregated information to understand program interest and improve how we work.

We do not sell personal information. We do not treat an application, press inquiry, or chat message as permission to publish your personal details or your unpublished company materials.

Relevant team members and reviewers may access submissions for the purposes above. Providers that host the site, authenticate users, store data or uploaded files, deliver email, and operate the AI chat may process information for us. A selected founder's participation may require separate information sharing explained in program documents.

External services opened from this site, including video players, social platforms, and company links, have their own privacy practices. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect people, rights, and the service.

Chat messages are sent to an AI service to generate a response and are recorded in our backend with the response and operational or safety information. An AI response can be incomplete or mistaken. Use the direct contact route for a private or consequential question.

We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to review and run a program, respond to an inquiry, maintain records, prevent misuse, or meet legal obligations. We then delete or anonymize it when practicable. Providers may process or store information outside India, subject to the protections and legal requirements that apply.

You can ask to access, correct, or delete information you submitted, or raise a concern, by writing to hello@thefounding.co. We will review the request and respond in line with applicable law and any records we need to retain. You can also clear site data from your browser and stop using the chat at any time.

The site is not directed to children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, though no online service can promise absolute security. We may update this policy as the site or our practices change. The date above shows the latest version; material changes will be made visible on the site.

For the rules that govern use of the site, see our terms of service.
